Omega-3 EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) to play a functional role, for moment-to-moment functioning of the eye and brain, especially in cell communication.

Omega-3 DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) for its role in laying down the structure of the brain in early life.

Omega-6 GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid) from virgin evening primrose oil which converts in the body to AA (Arachidonic Acid). This then plays a structural role and may be involved in learning and memory.

The incidence of side effects associated with the use of Equazen eye q is rare. However, if a child has any medical condition, known allergy, or is on any medication, or if there are any other concerns please ensure the child’s GP is consulted before taking the product. All the oils used in Equazen eye q have been independently tested to ensure compliance with European Union and World Health Organisation rules on purity.

We are not aware of any clinical research on vegetarian sources of omega-3 that have been conducted to the same standard of research that Equazen eye q has been involved in. Therefore we are unable to recommend a vegetarian substitute for Equazen eye q. It should however, be noted that Equazen eye q is both Halal and Kosher certified.

The ingredients in Equazen eye q are essential fatty acids. Whilst all fats contribute to weight gain, the amount of fat in this product will be very small and is unlikely to have any effect on body weight.

In all of the school-based observational studies, children have been given the higher intake of 6 capsules each day for a minimum of 6 months. After that time some dropped to a maintenance intake of 2 or 3 Equazen eye q capsules.
